Noun and Adjective practice!

Check out this link. There is a game that gets you thinking about how to use nouns and adjectives to make your writing more interesting. For some of you, this is something that can help you with your personal writing goal for term 2.

Homework for April holidays

Kia ora ākonga,

Your task for the holidays is to research a way we can make our own worm farm for the school out of recycled materials. There are lots are different materials that can be used and it is your task to work out which materials will work best for us at Kokatahi-Kowhitirangi school.

Think about:
  • How many people will be using the worm farm (do we want the whole school to use it?)
  • Who will be looking after it? Does it need to be easy to use?
  • Will we be able to find the materials we will need for your design?
  • Why should we have a worm farm?
  • When will it be used?

Once you have thought about all these things, create a poster or power point/Google Slides presentation for week one of term 2. From there we will decide as a class which design will work best for us or, if we need to use lots of different ideas and make our own design.

If you have any questions during the holidays, send me an email.

Have fun!

We LOVE mistakes and we LOVE learning from them!

Never say "oops" always say "ahhh... interesting."

Welcome to our class blog!

Kia ora Kea Class!

Since we are thinking about lots of different things that can help us with our learning, one of the things I thought of was having a class blog. This means that you can remind yourself at home about what we are learning about at school and investigate anything further if you wish.

Homework will be posted each week beginning April holidays.

Have a really good look at our Building Learning Power character tabs and the learning muscle that we will be stretching each week will be posted. Think about ways you can stretch those learning muscles at home as well! How could you help people at home stretch their learning muscles?
